@Nina: Thanks, Nina. While the world watches the fall, Buddha also watches the fall.

Good evening, Hiro
The autumn colors are gorgeous. They revitalize the place of the Buddha. Is it a cemetery?? I know my order is not enough. I wish you a pleasant evening. Dear greetings Christel

@Christel: Good evening Christel
A lot of stone images are graves of people buried these region of ancient past. Those statues turned to be left, and attended by no one through hundreds of years, and scattered in these hills and dales. The statues were collected in Meiji era by the cooperation of people of these regions. The statues are arranged by likening to people who listen to the Buddha preaching. Sorry for my poor English.
Best regards Hiro

wow quite interesting catch. beautiful colors as well. I think this is underexposed though?
29 Nov 2009 4:48am
@shoti: Thank you for your comment, shoti. You are right, this is underexposed, but it is done intentionally. A little dark is suitable for the statues, I think.
Beautiful colors and composition!
