Wooden logs for cultivation of mushrooms

Posted by
Hiro (Kyoto, Japan) on 25 April 2009 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

1. Prepare logs of wood about 50cm in length.
2. Cut the logs in two.
3. Mix the seed of mushroom bacteria and rice bran to make a paste.
4. Spread the paste to the section of the wooden logs.
5. Pile the cut wooden logs as before, to tuck the paste.
6. Keep the wooden logs as they are for several months.
7. Separate the cut logs.
8. Keep the logs in dark humid place for several month.
9. You will see mushrooms.
